Use standard Base64 for binary-safe transport, Base64URL for URL and token segments, percent encoding for URL components, and hexadecimal for inspecting UTF-8 bytes.

Good to know

Does the JWT inspector verify signatures?

No. It only decodes the header and payload. A token that decodes correctly is not necessarily authentic or safe to trust.

Is Base64 encryption?

No. Anyone can decode it. Base64 changes representation; it does not protect secrets.
